Welcome to the Russian language program at the University of Michigan!

This website provides you with information about, and support for, the Russian language program in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Here, you may read descriptions of courses the department offers, find out more about the teaching staff and consult resources for both learning and teaching Russian.

The site is useful for both students and teachers of Russian. The "Teaching Resources" section includes a guidebook for instructors on using Russian in the classroom, a collection of contemporary Russian dialogues that may be used in the first-year classroom, and lists of proverbs for use in teaching. Students of Russian may learn about a variety of topics in Russian culture and link to helpful sites on Russian grammar.
